Image Description: An illustration of a three-tailed fox kit standing facing the viewer, holding a Progress Pride flag in its mouth, with a floating orb of light beside it giving off glimmering sparks. The fox is orange with dark brown stockings and ear-tips and a white chest and cheeks; its three tails are tinged in the blue-white-pink colour scheme of the transgender flag, and the light gleams brightly in its green-gold eyes. The kit’s left ear is pierced high with a single hoop hung with golden bells and ruby drops; the right ear has two golden hoops hung with fine chains strung with tiny golden keys. The fox is standing on a circle of green within a black frame; the backdrop is a blue-white-and-pink starscape. Ornate rainbow text at the top reads, “Trans Kits Belong.”

An illustration of a pair of crows perched on a beeswax bridge made from seven burning candles and twining with wild roses in bloom, which spill out of the oval frame. The crow on the right is leaning in to inspect the gleaming golden ring offered in the other crow’s beak. The frame is burgundy with the texture of heavy paper; the backdrop is a violet and blue starscape. In the foreground, heavy golden beeswax drips down from the candles, glowing with bright yellow flames with blue hearts. The wild roses are in muted earth tones of green and dusty rose pink with yellow centers; the crows are black with gleaming rainbow irridescence in their feathers highlighted by the candlelight.

Transilience Montana @ the Holter Museum

- Jan 20th-Mar 30th 2023 -

🦊 I had 8 brand-new narrative pieces accepted as part of the Transilience collection at the Holter Museum in Helena, MT, alongside Rae Senarighi's stunning larger-than-life portraits of trans power & joy.
The show featured 10 transgender, nonbinary, and two-spirit artists from across the state, and I was thrilled to be included! You can explore my whole Water Works series here.

The opening on Jan 20th was attended by 300+ people & was one of the "BIGGEST openings this museum has seen in recent years" according to the Holter's Art Director, Ramsay Ballew. Pieces remained on display through the end of March.

Interested in a print? I'm offering a LIMITED SPECIAL EDITION series of 12 prints for each of the 8 pieces in the series, full-size (30x40") and individually hand-embellished. Standard prints are also available.
